The goal should be to grow an email list

13 Years ago, when I was 15 years old and just getting started learning about internet marketing, I read on a website called Warrior Forum that “the money is in the list”.

I did not understand the significance of it at the time, but, if I had of listened to it properly, I would be worth multiple millions of dollars today.

It’s very common for people to be banned on social platforms and for their content to stop performing.

Not only that, but, on platforms like Instagram and Tiktok, most of your followers do not actually get recommended your content.

Whereas, with an email list you own the list, so you don’t need to worry about getting banned.

Also, you do not need to worry about the algorithms working against you. 100% of your subscribers will be sent your email.

The only thing you need to concern yourself with is appearing in the main tab instead of the promotions tab.

So, today, if you want to build a long lasting online business that is resistant to external forces, the goal should be to build up an email list.

There are many ways to do this. You can use ads on social platforms that go to a lead magnet, you can create content on social media that sends people to a lead magnet, or you can advertise in other people’s email lists.

In my opinion, the single easiest and fastest way to grow an email list right now is to create Instagram reels that encourage people to comment a certain word in return for a link. You then use the program Manychat to automatically send them a link to your lead magnet.
