You have got to ride the wave

After I graduated from university in 2018, I started making money by answering simple questions people were searching on Google, on my own website.

Then my website would rank for some of these searches and people would click through to my website and I would earn money from ads on the website.

It was a very simple model.

At the time, Google was being very nice to small websites like mine.

The more posts, you could write, the more money you would earn for the most part.

There were people who were absolutely raking in the money from advertisements on their websites.

Plenty of people were making 100k or more per month.

My biggest regret is that I did not go harder on this method at the time.

But, then it all came to a halt when Google started releasing its Helpful content updates.

These updates ended up making the strategy of just writing posts that answered questions, very difficult to pull off because Google stopped ranking these websites in its search results.

At my highest, I was earning $11k per month and could have sold my websites for about $350k.

The important lesson here, is that it is important to know when you are on a wave and what part of the wave you are on.

That particular SEO method does not work so well anymore.

However, right now, Instagram is a solid place to be.

The combination of being able to get an audience with reels, stories and to send that audience to your products is a very powerful one.

And right now there are people earning big bucks with it.

Not only that, but you can send people to your email list, using lead magnets which will protect you if the method does stop working because you actually own the email list and can still market to it.

You can also make it into a pretty good lifestyle business because you can just create content around your passions, and then send the audience to your own products and your email list which you can further monetize with affiliate and advertisements which are automated now in Beehiiv.

But, the strategy you use is really important.

You have to do it the right way.

In the Digital Creator 2.0. I teach you the exact process I went through to grow my first Instagram account to over 130k followers in the space of 7 months.

If I had known what I know now, I could have done it even faster.
