Why your IG stories are not getting views and how to fix it

Ask any big influencer on Instagram where most of their IG sales come from and they will tell you the stories.

This is because stories give you a way to build trust with your audience that is difficult with regular posts.

So, it is important to try to get good views on your stories.

For the longest time, I could hardly get any views on my IG stories.

Today, I am able to get about 8% of my audience to see the stories on average, which is actually pretty good.

It is worthwhile to consider how the algorithm likely ranks them and based on what the Instagram CEO has said publicly.

First, the most important thing is likely to be if the person has previously interacted positively with your stories.

If someone regularly interacts positively with your stories, your next story will rank high on their feed.

So, if you’re always selling in the stories and giving no value, you will likely not get great views because people will stop engaging.

This is why I always have some kind of value in my stories such as a tip from a high performing reel.

The next thing that is particularly important is replies. If you can get a lot of replies to a story, you will generally get good views on that story.

So, when creating stories it is important to try to encourage people to reply. The way I do this is by telling people to reply with a certain word in order to get a free resource.

Next, another important thing is how recently you posted the last story. If your previous stories are still there and they have not disappeared yet, it will reduce the views that you can get on the story you are uploading.

This is why I prefer to wait for my previous stories to disappear before uploading the next one.
