I uploaded an Instagram reel everyday for the last 3 months and this is what happened…

In this post, I will show you the exact method I used to get 57k followers in 3 months and how you can replicate it to monetize with digital products.

3 months ago I came across a youtube channel talking about how he had gone viral using a sniper strategy which allowed him to start monetizing the account with digital products.

The strategy was basically to find reels in your niche that had recently gone viral and then to make your own variation yourself.

Because they have recently gone viral, they are proven reels. If you make your own version, there is a good chance that yours will go viral as well.

So, my plan was to upload one of my own variations of a reel that recently went viral in the niche per day.

When I started, I found a bunch of accounts related to my niche then I made a list of their best reels and started making my own versions of them.

However, it did not go well at first. I was struggling to get more than 2k views on my reels.

I kept doing this for the first month and I did not do well. I probably had about 100 followers.

So, I tried a different method. There is an account on Instagram that got 2 million followers in 54 days. Basically, all he does is repurpose viral twitter threads into reels.

So, I found a viral twitter thread and made it into a reel and it got 10million views. I did that again and it got me to 20k followers in the space of a few weeks.

I then started remaking new versions of my own reels and it worked well. If you just keep making new variations of your best reels, there is a high chance that they will go viral.

However, there was a problem and that was that I was going viral with reels that were not related to what i was trying to sell.

And I was not getting many downloads of the free product I was using as a lead magnet for my email list.

So, I again changed strategy to start posting high comment reels that do well with manychat. What it does is automatically send links to people who comment a certain word. So, you tell people to comment a certain word to get your free product and manychat will automatically send the link.

I posted a reel that got over 40k comments, but it was not related enough to my offer so it only resulted in me earning about $160 dollars.

After I started posting high comment reels that are in niche, I started getting downloads of my free product and I started making sales of my paid product.

I also grew to over 8k people on my email list. The email list is very valuable because you can keep marketing to it over time.

So, now it is just a case of continuing to post high comment in niche reels and continuing to improve the free and paid products.

Here’s how you can replicate what I did and start selling digital products and get faster results.

First, you need to select a niche. The easiest way to do this is by considering your interests, browsing instagram and searching for accounts in the niche. Then look at how they are monetizing. You want to find a niche that you have an interest in and where you can see that there are accounts in the niche that are successfully monetizing.

For example, if you are interested in productivity. You could put it into the instagram search bar and you will come across this account. You can see that he is getting a lot of views and he is monetizing it with paid Notion templates.

Next, you need to start posting reels that have a high chance of going viral. The best way to do this is to look for reels that have recently gone viral in your niche or twitter threads that have gone viral and to make them into your own reels. It is important that you make sure to keep your content within your niche. Don’t make the mistake of going viral with out of niche content like I did.

Next, you need to make a free product such as a free course or guide related to your niche. This is important because people don’t generally want to buy from you after watching an 8 second reel. But, the free product gives you more time to build desire for your paid stuff. This also gets people onto your email list which you own and can market to over time.

To get people to download the free product and signup to the email list, you need to get people to comment to receive the free guide then you use manychat to automatically send them the link.

The number of comments that you will get highly depends on the type of reel. Some reels that are purely focused on getting people to comment will get far more people commenting to get the free product.

For example this reel about getting content ideas has a high comment to view ratio.

However, you can’t just focused on these so you want to balance it with reels that are more focused on just getting views in your niche.

Next you create the paid product and start selling it to your email list and as an upsell from your free product.

Now it is just a case of continuing to make viral reels in your niche and getting people to get your free product which then promotes your paid product.
